New details emerge about Adam Lanza

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Authorities say there are new details emerging about Adam Lanza.

People who knew him say he was an awkward kid who wore the same clothes to school every day, he rarely spoke and once gave a school presentation by computer – never saying a single word.

Classmates said Lanza could take apart and reassemble a computer in a matter of minutes. Sources say a friend of his mother said Lanza spent most of his time in the basement where his mother kept a collection of guns.

On Friday, it was revealed that the assault rifle used in the Newtown massacre was bought at the same shop that sold a weapon to Connecticut's last mass murderer.

Omar Thornton bought Glock and Walther handguns at Riverview Gun Sales in East Windsor before fatally shooting eight people in 2010 at the beer distributor that fired him.

Nancy Lanza went to that store to buy the .223-caliber Bushmaster assault rifle used on December 14 by Adam to kill 20 children and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School, according to the Hartford Courant.
