NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A five-story scaffold collapsed in Brooklyn Friday morning as strong winds and heavy rain hit the region.

Winds were forecasted to reach above 50 mph.

The scaffold from a building under construction and came crashing down at about 3 a.m. on Bay Parkway and West 12th Street in Bensonhurst.

More pieces of the scaffold fell from eight stories up just as a Good Day NY crew arrived on scene several hours alter.

The structure landed on a vehicle crushing it and sending debris across the street.

There were no injuries, according to the FDNY.
