Tate Stevens wins 'The X Factor'

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Tate Stevens has won the second season of "The X Factor," beating Westchester's own Carly Rose Sonenclar and teen girl group Fifth Harmony.

The country singer, who is 37, was mentored by L.A. Reid.

The victory nets Stevens a $5 million recording deal.

Sonenclar, who is just 13, is from Mamaroneck.

The second season of the singing competition from Simon Cowell also included Demi Lovato and Britney Spears as judges.

Reid will not be back next season.
