Police hope Lanza's computer yields clues

It has been almost a week since the investigation into the Sandy Hook school shootings began. Police are facing some challenges trying to figure out why Adam Lanza turned to such deadly violence.

Now for the first time, we're seeing a picture of him as a student at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The photo of the 1999-2000 second grade class was obtained exclusively by Inside Edition.

The boy in blue is 8-year-old Lanza, standing in front of his teacher, looking like a normal kid, with no sign of the horror to come.

Dozens of local state and federal law enforcement officers are still searching for the reason why.

Wednesday night police were back at his mother's million-dollar mansion, looking for any clues he might have left behind.

Police say he had no social media footprint, very few calls on his cell phone, and spent most of his time playing violent video games.

Before his rampage, he killed the person who knew him best, his mother, and destroyed the hard drives on his computer making it next to impossible to find out what might have fueled his rage, police said.

A close friend of Adam's mother told the Connecticut Post that the 20-year-old wanted to join the Marines, but his mom talked him out of it by reminding him he did not like to be touched, and that if he was shot, doctors and medics would have to touch him.
