Good Samaritan rescue girl trapped under car

Posted: Updated:

NEW YORK (AP) - A Brooklyn girl who was trapped beneath a vehicle has been saved by several good Samaritans.

The New York Post reports Tawaiian Holmes, 9, was riding her scooter in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn Wednesday night when a livery cab struck two vehicles. 1 of the cars ran over the sidewalk and trapped the little girl.

Her mother tells The Post: "She just kept saying, 'Mommy, I love you. Help me. I don't want to die.'"

Witnesses say at least seven men ran into the street and lifted the car off the child, saving her life.
