Man pleads guilty in death of Nogales firefighter

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson man has pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in a hit & run collision that killed a Nogales firefighter.

The Arizona Daily Star reports (http://bit.ly/UHiSyA) that 39-year-old Jesus Zepeda faces four to eight years in prison after his plea Monday in the death of 25-year-old Sterling Lytle.

Authorities say an SUV struck Lytle in late June while the firefighter was off-duty in Tucson and fled.

Police say Lytle was a passenger in a car when the SUV pulled up behind the car and began flashing its lights and honking its horn.

The driver of the car Lytle was in pulled into a parking lot.

When Lytle got out of the car to speak with the SUV's driver, the driver ran him over.

Lytle was taken off life support July 3.
