Gun Control Debate On 'Good Day'

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

The massacre in Newtown, Conn., has renewed the debate on gun control in our country.

Protesters are taking to the streets demanding change. About 100 people took part in a demonstration Monday outside the Capitol Hill offices of the National Rifle Association.

The protestors were confronted by one man with an opposing view. He said rather than banning guns, we should arm teachers.

Lawmakers around the country are calling for a ban on assault weapons. The subject also dominated the Sunday morning talk shows, as New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg called on the president to make gun control his top priority.

Our guests Tuesday morning to talk about it were former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell and Fred Tecce, a former assistant U.S. attorney.
