Child psychologist on mental health illness in youngsters

There are 15 million American children who suffer from a psychiatric disorder.
Dr. Harold Koplewicz, President of the Child Mind Institute, spoke with Good Day NY about the difficulty for children and parents to seek help for a psychiatrically ill youngster.
"There is a terrible stigma. It's costly. Mental health is not covered under health insurance like physical illness. There isn't a flexible system: they're either in patient or see doctor once a week. It needs to have parent inclusion program," said Dr. Koplewicz.
