McDonalds Makes Controversial Christmas Day Decision

McDonalds is pressuring its franchise owners to stay open on Christmas. But, if they do, they won't pay their workers holiday overtime.

The trade publication Advertising Age obtained an internal memo from McDonalds' chief operations officer urging franchisees to keep their restaurants open throughout the holidays.

In October, McDonalds suffered its first monthly sales decline in nine years.
