The news from Sandy Hook Elementary hits too close to home

Laura Moore, Executive Producer- Fox 2 News.

I spoke with my friend in Danbury, Connecticut. She is 40 year old mother of three and here's what she said:

Her three children are in lockdown in their school right now. Their school is located 15 miles from Sandy Hook Elementary.

She runs a daycare out of her home, and when she's watching the babies she normally doesn't answer the phone.

Her phone was ringing off the hook today, so she finally answered and was told to turn on the TV.

She knows one of her friend's children is dead. She has another friend who still doesn't know.

I called her because I hadn't had a phone conversation with her in 17 years.

As I watched this horrific story unfold I remembered where my friend lives.

Surrounded by little people with little ears and blissful ignorance she said 8 words. "This is bad. This is very, very bad." I told her I would pray for her.
