PETA's Lettuce Ladies serve up vegan lunch at ASU

TEMPE, Ariz. -

PETA is doing their part to promote healthier living and going green by going without clothes.

PETA's "Lettuce Ladies" were at Arizona State University during lunch on Thursday, serving up free vegan BLT's -- dressed in nothing but strategically placed lettuce.

Vegan Green Restaurant in Tempe supplied the food to show how easy and delicious it is to improve human health.

Green restaurant uses tempeh bacon to reduce the deaths of billions of animals.

"It's great I've had it before because I've been a vegetarian for nine years now and good stuff," said Max Serafin.

PETA says eating meat, eggs and dairy products lead to health problems, and production contributes to greenhouse gases.

PETA's lettuce lady said, "Who better to appreciate tempeh than Tempe?"
