Union Pacific adding new, 'greener' trains

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle Thursday will show off the new Union Pacific environmentally friendly locomotives that will soon be put into service in Chicago.

The railroad says the locomotives use 30 percent less fuel than older ones and they produce less pollutants.

Union Pacific operates more than 400 Metra and freight trains each day in Illinois.
