A fatal crash near I-57 in the south suburbs has killed a Chicago man.
Illinois state police said 28-year-old Jevon Denton of the 10300 block of South Union Avenue, died in that crash and late Wednesday night. The SUV was the only car involved in the accident, which occurred around 11:17 p.m.
Another person was ejected from the SUV, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Officials said the crash took place on the ramp from westbound Route 30 to northbound I-57 in Matteson. That ramp was open again Thursday morning after investigators collected all the details and evidence.
