CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man who vandalized a West Side Austin neighborhood church last week.

A witness arrived to work at 8:15 a.m. Dec. 5 in the 1200 block of North Waller Avenue and saw a man in the alley cutting the phone lines to a church, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said. The man then fled the area.

The Greater St. John Bible Church at 1256 N. Waller Ave. is offering a $500 reward and urging anyone with information to call Austin District police at (312) 744-8263.
