PHOTOS: Midwest is dealing with an early-season snowstorm

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Up to 16 inches of snow has fallen in some parts of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Officials in the area have declared the season's first snow emergency.

About 150 flights out of the Twin Cities airport were canceled.

Chicago could break an all-time weather record Monday for the most consecutive days without measureable snowfall.

Chicago has gone 280 days so far without snow.

Normally, by December 10th, there would have been at least a couple of good storms.

There will be a record set, that's stood for 18-years, if there is no snow Monday.
