Fire station one received huge honors and a historical marker for firefighters who died in the line of duty in 1929.
Captain John D. Sullivan and firefighter Ambrose Shea died while riding in their fire truck when another truck hit them.
The two men were honored by retired and current firefighters with a dedication event revealing the historical marker and streamers.
"What is the significance of our streamer as we do this dedication? To always remember the lessons we learn so that they didn't die in vain," said Chief Harrold Shell, a retired Phoenix firefighter.
The streamers will hang on the honor guard flag with the name, rank and date of death of the fallen soldiers known as the last alarm.

A car crashed into a building on 2nd Avenue and East 4th Street in the East Village on Wednesday morning. At least eight people were injured, three in serious condition, according to FDNY officials.
