Reward offered for safe return of stolen dog

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -

A valley family is heart broken after their dog was stolen in broad daylight from a very public place. Now they're offering a reward for the safe return of their pet.

The great dane was taken from the PetSmart parking lot at 35th Street and Thomas Road after the owner took their other great dane into the store.

Two people drove off with the other family pet in the back of their pickup truck.

The owner hopes someone will return their stolen family member before the holidays.

"All we want is the dog back.  I don't care if they drop her off at a shelter..if they bring her back to this PetSmart..we just want her back," said Russell Brown.

This is the second pet stolen from this PetSmart location in the past couple of weeks.

If you have any information about this case, call the Phoenix police.

The owners are offering a $500 reward.
