Police: Sierra Vista man accused of selling heroin

Posted: Updated:

SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Sierra Vista man is in custody for allegedly selling drugs.

Sierra Vista police say 23-year-old Jonathan Dadd has been booked into the Cochise County Jail on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and narcotic drugs, tampering with evidence and transport of narcotic drugs for sale.

Police made a traffic stop on Dadd's car Thursday on State Route 90.

They reportedly received information that Dadd had been selling heroin in the Sierra Vista area and had been travelling to Tucson to purchase the drug.

Police say Dadd was in possession of a piece of foil with heroin residue and a pipe.

He also allegedly told officers that he swallowed some heroin to prevent officers from locating it.

Dadd was taken to a hospital for treatment and then arrested.
