Charity helps replace family's stolen Christmas gifts

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -

Earlier this week, a family's Christmas joy was taken away when thieves ransacked their home and stole all of their gifts.

A single mother of two told us this was the first year she was able to buy presents and knew she couldn't afford to replace them.

On Friday, this family's joy was rekindled thanks to the Families Giving Back organization and FOX 10 viewers.

"I think that's what I was most upset about was my kids' Christmas presents that I finally bought on my own and for them to be able to help me and replace everything it feels amazing," said Sharlene Despain.

People donated Christmas presents to the family and their television was also replaced.
