Man found shot at northwest Atlanta gas station

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA -

Police are investigating a man found outside of a gas station with a gunshot wound late Thursday evening in northwest Atlanta.

A spokesperson for the Atlanta Police Department tells FOX 5 News that homicide detectives were called in after shooting after 10 p.m. Thursday.

Detectives say the victim does not appear to be a store employee. They are not sure if the gas station was where the man was shot or if he was dropped of there.

The man had been shot several times. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical, but stable condition.

Police say they believe this started an argument that turned into gunfire. They are still working to identify a suspect.

Anyone with information on the shooting can call the Atlanta Police Department at 404-658-6486 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.
