LANSING, Mich. (WJBK) -- It's the story that refuses to die and now comes the governor breathing more life into it.
Gov. Rick Snyder emerged from another closed-door meeting with this two GOP legislative leaders on Tuesday. They were talking about Right to Work. What else?

So que pasa? Himself was asked.
He could have uttered, "The darn thing is dead. Now let's go celebrate Christmas."
He could have said, "Let's pass this thing and be done with it."
Or he could have said, "It is still not on my agenda" which he's been saying for three years.
Ah but.
What he did say was, "This is on the agenda."
OMG. Official Lansing came momentarily unglued. The governor had taken RTW off the agenda and put it on! Sea change?
There will be folks in town who will say that's a green light and it's full speed ahead for the RTW crowd.
But reach that conclusion, if you must, at your own peril.
This governor chooses his words very carefully and you are silly if you read too much into what he says.
Putting it on the agenda doesn't mean squat, other than he did not declare it dead. It can remain on the agenda until the cows come home and he doesn't own any cows in Ann Arbor. They have ordinances against that.
Pushed by reporters to give a timeline on all this, the cagey governor continued to be just that. He would not embrace a timeline.
There again, it's on the agenda, but it might be dealt with now, later or never.
The governor did say he wants to continue the dialogue which, of course, you can't have if it is off the agenda. So it remains there and for labor, talking is something they can live with. Voting is quite another.
The governor continues on his merry way, having it both ways. His "on the agenda" stuff is not a slap in the face of the RTW conservatives, which means they still hold out hope, they will win. Yet "on the agenda" is not a loss for labor either as it continues to hope this dies.
So as Yogi Berra used to say, "It ain't over ‘til it's over" and this one ain't over yet, sports fans.

The undone stuff Gov. Snyder and Lt. Gov. Calley are still struggling to adopt is piling up like the garbage in your neighbor's backyard and it's beginning to stink.

It can creep up on you without you realizing it. One day you step on the scale and you're obese. That's what happened to a St. Clair Shores woman who never though she would lose the weight.
