Bosnian mother, son killed by their own bull

Posted: Updated:

SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AP) — Bosnian police say a bull fatally gored an elderly woman and her son in a northeastern village.

The bull, which belonged to the 76-year-old woman and her 52-year-old son, attacked them Tuesday when they tried to bring the animal home after it was grazing in a nearby field all day in Zelinje.

Police spokeswoman Aleksandra Simojlovic said Wednesday that neighbors called police, but when officers arrived the bull was still enraged and wouldn't let them near the bodies. Local hunters later killed the beast.
