SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -- Richard and Kathy Verlander have written a book called "Rocks Across the Pond" which tells the inspiring story of raising their Justin, who in 2011 became the first starting pitcher in baseball to be named MVP in more than two decades, and his younger brother ben.
They were also the winners of the George and Barbara Bush Little League Parents of the Year.
You can meet the Verlanders during a book signing at the West Grange Pharmacy on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 3390 West Road in Trenton from 5-8 p.m.
