Emotional Vigil For Boy Allegedly Murdered By Mom, Boyfriend

PHILADELPHIA -

Emotions ran high during a vigil for 5-year-old DaShawn Harris. The boy's lifeless body was found over the weekend.

Police say he was covered in bruises and cigarette burns.

DaShawn's mother, 23-year-old Lashay Patterson, and boyfriend, 25-year-old Christian Patrick, are charged with his murder. Both remain in police custody.

DaShawn's father says he is struggling to come to grips with what happened to his son.

"I don't want to see another parent like this," the father said. "I mean I'm hurting inside"

    Thursday weather looks spectacular with mostly sunny skies and low humidity levels.
