UGA coaches' families ready to support them

BOGART, Ga. -

On the night before Georgia's biggest football game in 30 years, coaches and players were staying at the team's hotel in Atlanta.  Meanwhile, some of the coaches' families were all together, preparing to support them on one of the biggest days of their lives.

Kim Garner is the wife of defensive line coach Rodney Garner. Their house in Bogart became a meeting place Friday night because of t-shirts Kim designed for the coaches' families.  She first did it earlier in the season for the Auburn game, and she says the wives liked them so much, they asked if she would do something for the SEC Championship.

The red shirts have "SEC East Champs 2012" written in glitter on the front.  When the coaches' families meet on campus Saturday morning to take a bus to Atlanta together, all of them—about 70 or so—will be wearing the shirts.  Kim Garner says she hopes the coaches will see them and know it means their families are behind them on one of the biggest days of their career.
