Sheriff Joe Arpaio's volunteer posse is hitting the malls. Members will be making the rounds and keeping an eye on the parking lots this holiday season.
The posse will be patrolling 9 local malls this holiday season -- looking for people breaking into cars or shoplifting merchandise. There will be eight to 15 volunteers at each location.
"I think it's great, I feel much safer especially late at night, I do run my errands at night and its safer to know that someone's watching at all times," one shopper told us.
Last year, Arpaio says his posse recovered $8,300 worth of stolen property.
