One in 88 children is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
A new study out of UCLA found that the babies exposed to the most air traffic pollution either in the womb or in the first few months of life had a 2-3 times increase risk of autism.
"There are probably multi-factoral situation going on here. Genetics, diet and the environment may play some role," Dr. Raj told GDNY on Tuesday.
