ROSEVILLE, Calif. -

Shoppers line up for the door busting deals during Black Friday, but a trio of men in Roseville, Calif., took it a bit too far.

Three men got into a fist fight at the Westfield Galleria, knocking over a display in the process.

Witnesses think they were fighting over a pair of shoes.

Families around the fight scattered in horror as others pulled out camera phones to capture the scene.

"It could easily have become a riot, I think," said Lawrence Corpus, a witness who caught the fight on video.

Another witness named Chase said, "I know a guy took the top of a trash can and actually threw it at him."

"It was like a flying saucer; it just, just flew by," Corpus said.

"Two guys started punching each other, then they ran over the barrier of the jump thing, and the guy started getting his face stomped in," Chase said. "It was pretty crazy."

Corpus added, "I definitely can't imagine going through what the man in the black hoodie was going through. … You could feel the intensity of the fight as it happened. So it was something that I felt like I had to document."

He added that this "can happen anywhere, but I definitely think that security should had been beefed up a little bit more during a busy time like that."

There were several reports of angry shoppers fighting each other on Black Friday across the country.

It was a gloomy Sunday as the whole area remain socked in with low clouds & fog, drizzle and scattered showers.

The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. The difference is that it will really warm up -- temperatures soar into the 80s by Tuesday.  That mild and humid air mass will fuel afternoon thunderstorms.

By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain.  It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
