ROME -

Three study abroad students from Swarthmore College were hurt when they were attacked in a bar in Rome.

One student was stabbed while the other two suffered cuts and bruises when 50 masked men attacked supporters of England's soccer team at a pub called "The Drunken Ship."

The bar is popular with Americans, and school officials say the students just happened to be there with friends when the fight broke out.

The students are expected to be OK.

Two Italian men have been charged.
