Shop small on Saturday and get rewarded

PHOENIX -

If you didn't get your shopping fix this Black Friday -- there's still plenty of time this weekend.

Saturday is "Small Business Saturday," a time to spend some of your holiday cash at local retailers.

American Express is urging card-holders to go on a Small Business shopping spree -- offering a $25 rebate for customers who use their card at a participating Small Business Saturday store.

"This has been a rough couple of years for small business, there's no doubt about it. They've struggled to recover in a down economy. Their sales had been weak, there optimism is very low and so we're hopeful that the holiday season will bring a boost for small business," says Jean Card, NFIB.

This is the third year for Small Business Saturday. Last year more than 100-million people participated.
