Most wonderful time of the year for bargain hunters

PHOENIX -

Black Friday is here – and FOX 10 cameras were there to capture all the excitement and chaos.

At the Walmart on 75th Avenue and Lower Buckeye, people were screaming and begging people to get off of them as they fought to snatch up cheap video games.

At Arizona Mills Mall, the madness began just before midnight. A FOX 10 viewer sent us video showing a mad dash as security opened the doors about 10 minutes before midnight.

We caught up with some people who were up early Friday morning looking for bargains.

For bargain shoppers, this is the most wonderful time of the year

"I'm looking for clothes, electronics, games, toys some home items if I can find something I want," says Debbie Beaver.

"I first started out yesterday, 8 o'clock at Kmart and went home, slept for a couple hours and we were back here at 4:45 this morning," says Rosie Oneadje.

It wasn't just the ladies getting in on the deals. We found a lot of happy guys over at Cabella's, where they shopped the 117,000 square foot store.

Jake Affronti and his girlfriend Jordanna waited 40 hours in line to get in. They didn't get any sleep. How much did they save?

"About 300 dollars at least."

Arrowhead Town Center mall opened at midnight and the busiest store was Starbucks. These shoppers needed their caffeine.

Local retail analyst Jeff Green says electronics and apparel are the two best things to buy on Black Friday.

The best store in his opinion?

"I actually think JCPenney is doing a good job with Black Friday. They've changed a lot in their merchandising over the last year, so they've done a great job and it's a great place to check out."

Happy shopping! The stores are still open if you want to head out -- some of the deals last through Monday.

The madness that was Black Friday was on full display today. It's amazing what some people will do just to get a bargain. And their wild antics were all caught on tape.
