Tripp Halstead's family spent Thanksgiving together at Children's Healthcare at Scottish Rite, according to a Facebook post by the family.

The 2-year-old Winder boy slept through his therapy session on Thursday and then rested while family visited and watched football in his room.

Tripp was hit in the head on Oct. 29 by a falling tree limb outside his daycare. He suffered a severe brain injury, but his doctors remain hopeful about his recovery.
