1 Dead In Thursday Morning Shooting In West Philly

PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Thursday morning in West Philadelphia.

According to police, a 33-year-old man was shot in the back in the area of the 5500 block of Westminster Avenue shortly before 11 a.m.

Police say the man was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

As of Thursday afternoon, police say they had not made any arrests but did recover a weapon.
