Teens From Katrina-Hit Town Lend A Hand In New Jersey

Posted: Updated:
KEANSBURG, N.J. -

Families trying to rebuild from Hurricane Sandy are getting help from as far away as Mississippi.

A group of teens from there who survived the horrors of Hurricane Katrina are helping people in New Jersey get back on their feet.

These teens drove with their parents 25 hours to Keansburg, N.J., with an SUV, UHaul and a minivan to help those who lost everything in Sandy.

The volunteers said they want people to know things do get better.

They'll be working through the week, giving up their Thanksgiving holiday to help the victims.
