Hackers gain access to insurance company's network

ATLANTA -

Hackers gained access to thousands of Georgians personal information through the Nationwide Insurance Company's computer network, according to a statement issued by state Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens.

More than 28,000 Georgia members and potential policyholders are affected, Hudgens said.

The insurance company will proved affected members and applicants free credit monitoring and identity theft protection services from Equifax for one year.

Members and applicants can call 1-800-760-1125 for more information.
