INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. (KMSP) -
Police are still waiting for accident reconstruction information to release an official cause of Friday's fatal crash in Inver Grove Heights, but they released the identities of the victims on Monday.
One family lost members of two generations when 70-year-old Elaine Clausen crashed the 1994 Oldsmobile Delta she was driving, hitting a school bus head on.
Clausen and her grandchildren -- 11-year-old Laela Shawel and 4-year-old Gion Clausen-Young -- were all killed in the fiery crash.
Shawel was in the sixth grade at Inver Grove Heights Middle School, and her younger brother was enrolled in a preschool program.
The trio were out shopping in Eagan and were on the way back home when Clausen's car crossed into oncoming traffic.
It is still unknown whether a medical or mechanical problem led to the crash.
