Norcross family loses loved one, home within weeks

NORCROSS, Ga. -

Just weeks after losing a loved one, a Norcross family gets hit with yet another life-changing event, but with the help from the community, they still have a lot for which to be thankful.

Wilma Lawson lost her home Thursday in a fire. Investigators believe it started as an electrical short. The charred remains were home to her and her partner of 19 years who passed away just weeks ago.

She cares for her two grandchildren, ages 9 and 7.
