Tree trimmer killed by falling limb on Long Island

A tree trimmer who came to Long Island from South Carolina to help with Superstorm Sandy cleanup has been killed by a falling tree limb, police said.
David Freberg, 36, who worked for a company called Patriot Tree Service, was trying to trim a fallen tree in Nissequogue when a broken limb slammed into his head on November 12, Suffolk police said.
An ambulance rushed Freberg to Stony Brook Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
