Covenant House Michigan to host candlelight vigil Thursday

Posted: Updated:

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -- FOX 2's Amy Lange will host the Covenant House's 15th annual candlelight vigil on Thursday, Nov. 15.

The event will take place at the main campus on 2959 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Detroit.

The vigil, which coincides with National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, was created by CHM to bring awareness to the issue of youth homelessness and CHM's tireless commitment to the young people they serve each and every day.

The teens that come to CHM are not homeless because they spent their lives making bad decisions; they are homeless because of abuse, mental illness or neglect.
