Posted: Updated:

Sears is making the holiday season a little easier for a metro Atlanta soldier and his family.

Sears' "Heroes at Home" program surprised the Coleman family with gifts on Monday, including a new computer and a gift card to purchase items for their home.

Sgt. 1st Class Charles Coleman is preparing for another deployment while his daughter awaits a bone marrow transplant.

Over the past five years, the program has raised $17 million through customer donations, helping more than 83,000 families during the holidays.
