WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -- Police say alcohol may have been a factor in a single car accident that left a 35-year-old Waterford woman in critical condition.

The accident happened Sunday morning along Airport Road when police say the female driver ran her 2007 Ford Focus off the road, causing it to roll and strike a utility pole.

She was airlifted to an area hospital.

Police say the driver, whose name has not been released, was wearing a seatbelt, but the vehicle's airbags did not deploy.
