Another Attempted Child Luring in Bucks County

Posted: Updated:

Police in Warwick Township are looking into the latest attempted child luring to shock parents in Bucks County.

This time police say it happened as a Jamison Elementary School student was waiting for the Monday morning bus at the intersection of Guinea Lane and Turkey Trot Road.

The kid was asked by a man to get into a car but ran to a neighbor's house instead.

Warwick Police Chief Mark Goldberg said they did not get a good description of the man or vehicle involved in the luring attempt.

It is the latest incident to rock several neighboring communities including Solebury, Buckingham and Warrington in recent months.

Sharon Summers-Keller of Buckingham Township said the problem goes back even farther, when two of her boys were nearly lured by a man last September.

She wants better communication between the school district and the police departments to help stop the threat.

"It's scary," she said. "No one really seems to be doing too much about it."

Warwick Police said there did not appear to be a connection to Monday's incident and others in Bucks County.
