UTICA, Mich. (WJBK) -- A local dad says his daughter received a detailed lesson about porn from her principal. Now, he's decided to let everyone know about it in a big way.

It was costume day last week at Utica High School and school officials had an issue with one of the student's outfits. "It was Halloween, actually," said Steven Werner, who wouldn't let reporters speak with his daughter, instead telling the story himself.

The costume included a black skirt and knee-high black stockings with pink bows. Werner says his daughter was called into the Principal Janet Jones' office. "She said to my daughter, 'Honey, you look like a porn star.' My daughter said, 'What do you mean a porn star?' She goes, 'You know, a porn star. You know what those people do?' My daughter said 'no.' So she elaborated to my daughter what a porn star was and what they do for a living."

Upset after hearing the story, Werner contacted Jones regarding the incident. "She did admit to everything," said Werner. "She did say that all men watch porn and it's a fact of life and I should get real."

Werner's 15-year-old daughter was not sent home over the costume. Instead, she was ordered to turn the bows on her stockings around. "Her outfit was perfectly appropriate," said Werner. "(Jones) said the bows is what indicated that she looked like a porn star."

To send a message, Werner designed a rolling billboard on his hauling trailer. The billboard reads: "Mrs. Jones taught my daughter about PORN. "All men watch porn."

Werner is now driving the billboard around town. "I wanted people to be aware about what was going on as far as the parents to see if we could get more advocates for situations like this. This is a form of bullying as far as I'm concerned and us as parents need to be more apt as to what bullying is and help the students out."

Werner says there's been quite a backlash on social media sites like Facebook regarding the billboard. "She's going to stay in school," said Werner regarding his daughter. "She's getting threats right now in school from her peers because of this. They all believe Mrs. Jones is pure and perfect and she can't do nothing wrong. The principal admitting to the fault of what she did wrong was an admittance of guilt. If you're guilty then you need to apologize."

Jones did not return calls from FOX 2. An official with Utica Community Schools says there was a meeting between Jones, Werner's daughter and a guidance counselor. He characterized the meeting as a disciplinary discussion related to a disruption of the education day.

Werner is insisting on a written apology from Jones.
