Cops: Man committed break-ins during power outage

A man is accused of burglarizing a Long Island home and two businesses that were without power due to Hurricane Sandy.

Suffolk County Police say Antron McCloud, 21, is under arrest on burglary charges.

They say, in one incident, he broke into a home on North 20th Street in Wyandanch.

Police say he also broke into the Getty Gas Station at 1580 Straight Path in Wyandanch and Wyandanch Drugs at 323 Merritt Ave.

McCloud also faces charges in connection with several burglaries from before the storm.

The businesses he is accused of targeting include Brothers Wine and Liquors, one Sunrise Highway in Copiague, Straight Path Grocery in Wyandanch, Last Stop Buy and Sell in North Babylon and Deli Zone in Farmingdale.

McCloud was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Central Islip.
