CHERRY HILL, N.J. -

Superstorm Sandy slammed into the northeast one week ago Monday, leaving flooding and paths of debris along the way.

In the middle of all of the cleanup, Halloween came and went.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie postponed the holiday last week due to the storm.

On Monday night, families took full advantage of an opportunity to have some fun.

FOX 29's Lauren Cohn spent some time with families in Cherry Hill as they took part in the area's Halloween festivities.

Dozens of kids, along with their parents, dressed in their costumes for a Monday night parade.

Some parents tell FOX 29 they were looking forward to this day, as it has been frustrating trying to explain all of the changes to their kids.
