NY Waterway plans to operate normal ferry/bus service, including service from the Hoboken Rail/Ferry Terminal, starting at 6 a.m. Monday, November 5.
Passengers are urged to check nywaterway.com and to use the web site or the NY Waterway APP to purchase tickets.
There will be no service from Jersey City's Port Liberte terminal, which was damaged severely by Hurricane Sandy.
Regular weekend service will operate Saturday, November 3, and Sunday, November 4, operating from 8 a.m. until 1:10 a.m. between Port Imperial in Weehawken and West 39th Street in Manhattan, with all free connecting bus service.
Ferries also will operate on a normal weekend schedule between Lincoln Harbor in Weehawken, 14th Street in Hoboken and West 39th Street.
Tickets on canceled routes will be honored on other routes. Because of water damage to ticketing equipment, some terminals will continue selling tickets for cash only.
"We are proud to be leading the way in restoring mass transit service in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. We thank our patrons for their support during this unprecedented emergency and we commend our dedicated employees for their efforts to restore service," said NY Waterway Founder and President Arthur E. Imperatore.
