Henry Co. police seek person in robbery, shooting

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -

Police in Henry County are searching for a person after a robbery and shooting at a store in McDonough on Thursday.

According to police, the incident happened around 8:45 p.m. at the Aldi store on Jonesboro Road. They say the person waited inside the store until closing, and confronted three employees with a silver handgun. At some point, one of the employees was shot.

The person made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police describe the person as a black male, between 40 and 50 years old. He is 5', 8" tall and weighs 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt with AND1 printed on the front, and gray sweat pants.

Police say the shooting victim is being treated at Piedmont-Henry Hospital with a non-life threatening wound to the foot.
