ATLANTA -

Authorities say a caller mentioned possible chemicals being placed at the CNN Center in downtown Atlanta, prompting officers to close streets around the complex as they searched for a possible chemical bomb.

Atlanta police said in a statement the caller early Friday morning also wanted $15,000 and an airplane. It wasn't clear whether the caller made the demands from CNN or some other entity.

A search of the global news network's headquarters and attached Omni Hotel turned up no sign of any bomb. Streets were reopened two hours after the initial call.

Atlanta police Capt. Adam Lee III told reporters that dispatchers who took the call described the caller as "depressed." Lee said the caller also said he was wanted by the federal government for violating some type of federal law.
