Metro-North's Harlem Line, which has been operating as far north as Mount Kisco, was restored to Southeast Station Thursday.

Another 30 miles of track is now back into service from Southeast Station. The first northbound train to Southeast left Grand Central Terminal at 4:43 PM.

Trains operated on a very limited schedule Thursday afternoon with a total of four inbound and five outbound trains.

The only portion of the Harlem Line not yet restored is the Wassaic Branch, which on an ordinary weekday carries a total of 900 customers.

Thursday morning, as of 10:00 a.m. the railroad carried 65% of its normal Harlem Line customers, or about 16,800.

Efforts to restore service continue on the remaining segments of track that were severely damaged by the storm.

Friday service:

  • Hudson Line: Service between Croton-Harmon and Grand Central Terminal on the Hudson Line will operate on a regular weekday schedule.
  • New Haven Line: Service will resume between New Haven and Stamford/Grand Central Terminal by midday.
  • Harlem Line: Full service between Southeast and Grand Central Terminal will be restored tomorrow morning.
