Daly House transforms to ghastly graveyard on Halloween

Posted: Updated:
ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. (KMSP) -

It took the better part of a month to transform the Daly House in St. Louis Park into one seriously spooky graveyard to give candy-seeking kids a fright.

The ghouls and ghosts who provide the fear-factor are all part of the Halloween glue that makes the neighborhood together. While there are plenty of houses with candy, this graveyard is always looking for a few more guests.

The experience is the brainchild of Nikki Daly, a kindergarten teacher who began building her fright night theater with her mother more than 20 years ago.

"I think it all stems from my mom," Daly told FOX 9 News. "She went into labor on Halloween night with me -- my birthday is tomorrow. So, Halloween has always been a big part of my life."

While most neighborhoods have at least one house that attracts all the kids to the best candy or creepy décor, the graveyard along George Avenue South is so popular, the Daly family bought enough candy for 600 kids this year.
